Our client based in New Milton is looking for a Production Operative to join their Fabrication Department with an immediate start available.
This is a hands‑on role, ideal for candidates with experience in fabrication, although full training will be provided for the right individual.
Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Measuring, marking, and cutting materials to required dimensions.
- Grinding, finishing, and polishing fabricated parts.
- Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality and dimensional standards.
- Using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Performing routine maintenance on fabrication equipment.
- Following health, safety, and environmental procedures, including using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Recording production data and reporting defects or equipment issues.
- Collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and other production staff to meet manufacturing schedules.
