Our client based in Poole has an immediate requirement for an experienced Van Driver to join their busy processing operation.
The main requirements of the role will be as follows:
- Collecting up to 100 boxes from different customer locations and bring them back to the Poole processing site.
- The collections maybe to just one location, or they may be made up of 3 or 4 collections from different sites within a region.
- Boxes need to be loaded on the vans in a set order.
- Hand scanners are used to track the loaded boxes.
- On return to the processing site, you will assist the warehouse team with unloading the van and booking in the boxes.
Applicants must be customer orientated as there is some interaction with customers. You will be required to driver the companies 3.5 tonne vans which may be either diesel or electric. The current collection routes cover Cornwall, Dartford, London and the Southeast.
Drivers need to have good skills in the following:
- Competent driving skills and a clean licence
- Customer focus
- Good Communication
- Confidentiality & Security – once work has been collected it needs to be kept securely in the van and returned to the processing site promptly.
You will be required to work 37.5 hours Monday to Friday, the core hours are 06:00 am till 14:00 pm but there are requirements to start earlier / finish later depending on the routes. You will get three breaks during the working day (2 x 15 mins paid & 1 x 30 mins unpaid).
There is an immediate start available for the right person and a starting pay rate of £13.28 per hour.
