Our client in New Milton is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join their manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves working with sheet metal products, fabrication processes, quality inspection, and supporting production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricating and preparing sheet metal components to specification
  • Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and production instructions
  • Measuring, marking out, and assembling metal components
  • Loading and unloading fabricated products through production processes
  • Conducting visual and dimensional quality inspections
  • Supporting welding, finishing and assembly operations when required
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Following all health and safety procedures
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous fabrication, sheet metal, manufacturing or engineering experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (advantageous)
  • Experience using a range of hand and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm

Pay & Overtime

Starting rate: £12.75 per hour
Weekday overtime: 1.33×
Saturday overtime: 1.5×
Sunday overtime: 2×
