Yard Operative
**Location:** Holywell, Dorchester, Dorset
**Pay:** £12.82 per hour
**Hours:** Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
**Contract:** Temporary, ongoing - expected to be a minimum of 2-3 months
**Start:** ASAP
Mploy are currently recruiting for **two Yard Operatives** to join a well-established local manufacturer based near Dorchester.
This is a hands-on role within a busy yard environment and would suit someone who enjoys practical, physical work and is happy working as part of a small team.
Your duties will include:
- General yard duties and keeping work areas organised
- Bagging and handling materials
- Lifting and moving bags/materials weighing up to **25kg**
- Preparing materials and products as required
- Assisting other members of the yard and production team
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
We are looking for someone who:
- Is comfortable with regular manual handling and physical work
- Has a good level of spoken English
- Has basic numeracy/mathematical skills
- Is reliable, hardworking and able to work well within a team
- Can commit to the required working hours
Previous experience within a **yard, warehouse, production, manufacturing or labouring environment** would be useful but is not essential.
A **forklift or telehandler licence/experience would be a definite advantage**, although this is not essential.
**Steel toe-cap safety footwear and high-visibility clothing will be required.**
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for ongoing temporary work with full-time weekday hours.
