HGV Class 2 Driver

We are looking for a dedicated HGV Class 2 driver to join the growing team of our client based in Walworth Industrial Estate.

As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers.

We are looking for individuals with experience driving in busy environments.

The fleet contains 26/32 T lorries and 7.5T vehicles.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, with earliest start at around 4AM and latest finish at around 4PM.

Yearly Salary: £35,000 per annum (increases up to £40,000 after training on all equipment).

Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate a truck to transport goods to various destinations.
2. Load and unload cargo following safety procedures.
3. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
4. Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns.
5. Maintain accurate driving logs.
6. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Valid HGV Class 2 driving license.
2. Proven experience as a truck driver.
3. Knowledge of flatbed operations is a plus.
4. Excellent driving record.
5. Ability to drive long hours and travel long distances.
6. Strong communication skills.
7. Experience with Moffett forklift is desirable but not essential.
