Our client based in Andover has an immediate requirement for a skilled and versatile Field Service Engineer with strong electrical, mechanical and programming capabilities. This is a dynamic, field-based role combining installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and customer support, alongside involvement in machine build and development. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on engineering expertise with added value in electrical control systems and C++ programming for machine functionality and optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel across the UK (and occasionally Europe) to install, service, and repair machinery
- Respond to urgent breakdowns within 24–48 hours
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
- Carry out planned maintenance and servicing activities
- Look after your own diary management for PPM activities
- Install new equipment and commission machines on customer sites
- Deliver face-to-face training to customers on safe operation and basic maintenance
- Support the manufacturing team with electrical wiring, control panel assembly, machine build and testing
- Assist with development and troubleshooting of control systems, including C++ based programming where required
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer.
