- Strategic Partner Development Executive – Technology Scale-Up
- Recruitment Partner: Mploy Group
The Opportunity
Mploy Group is recruiting on behalf of an exciting, fast-growing technology scale-up with a market-leading solution that is entering its next phase of commercial growth.
Following the development of a new go-to-market strategy, our client is looking for an ambitious Strategic Partner Development Executive to help develop opportunities through a small number of high-value strategic partners.
This is not a traditional, heavily scripted sales role.
The business is still evolving its sales processes, messaging and commercial approach, giving you the opportunity to influence how an innovative technology solution is taken to market.
The Role
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders across strategic partner organisations.
- Identify and create new commercial opportunities through partners and their end customers.
- Build awareness and demand for an innovative technology solution.
- Engage directly with partner stakeholders to uncover potential customer requirements.
- Help partners recognise opportunities they may not otherwise identify.
- Support partners in developing and progressing opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Communicate a compelling vision of the outcomes the technology can deliver for customers.
- Use a consultative, solution-led approach rather than simply selling product features.
- Work with internal technical and commercial teams to progress opportunities.
- Help create demand and, where necessary, develop the commercial case and budget for new solutions.
- Gather customer, partner and market intelligence and feed this back into the business.
- Contribute to the continued development of sales messaging and the wider go-to-market strategy.
- Represent the business professionally at partner meetings, customer meetings and industry events.
- Take ownership of opportunities from initial engagement through to progression with the strategic partner.
About You
- Previous B2B sales, business development or commercially focused experience.
- This could suit an SDR, BDR, Sales Executive or someone from a strong graduate sales programme ready for their next step.
- Applications are also welcomed from technically minded candidates looking to move into a more commercially focused sales role.
- Confident communicating and building relationships with stakeholders at different levels.
- Curious about technology and willing to develop enough technical knowledge to inspire customer confidence.
- Commercially minded, organised and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving scale-up where processes will continue to evolve.
- Adaptable, coachable and willing to take ownership rather than waiting for a defined playbook.
- Resilient and persistent, with the ability to create opportunities rather than simply manage inbound demand.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats as the business continues to grow.
- What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12 months, you will have built strong relationships with strategic partners, developed a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities, increased engagement with end customers and become a trusted commercial contact for partner stakeholders.
You will also have played an active role in shaping the company's commercial playbook and future go-to-market strategy.
Location & Package
This role is based from the company's Bristol office five days per week when not attending external partner or customer meetings.
Candidates must therefore live within a realistic commuting distance of Bristol.
