This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Developer who enjoys building high-quality software but also wants to influence how emerging technologies are adopted within a growing business. Sitting between Innovation and Engineering, you'll help identify where AI can create genuine value, prototype new ideas and work alongside development teams to bring them into production.
You'll have the opportunity to shape technical direction, explore cutting-edge technologies and play a key role in the evolution of data-driven products used in real-world environments.
The Role
- Design, build and enhance modern web applications using React, Next.js and Node.js.
- Identify opportunities to introduce AI, automation and intelligent workflows across existing platforms.
- Collaborate with Product, Innovation and Engineering teams to turn concepts into scalable solutions.
- Develop APIs, integrations and backend services supporting business-critical applications.
- Contribute to architecture, technical strategy and long-term platform evolution.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and lead proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Support and mentor other developers, promoting engineering best practices.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and well-tested.
- Help bridge the gap between innovative ideas and production-ready software.
- Play an active role in shaping the company's future technology roadmap.
Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience developing modern web applications.
- Excellent knowledge of ReactJS and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience building backend services with Node.js.
- Strong understanding of API design and system integration.
- Experience working with SQL Server, PostgreSQL or similar databases.
- Comfortable contributing to architectural and technical design decisions.
- Passion for emerging technologies, AI and continuous improvement.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience with Next.js.
- Exposure to C# and ASP.NET.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of AI technologies, LLMs, intelligent automation or machine learning concepts.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
