An established automation engineering business is looking for a Robotics Integration Engineer to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to work on bespoke robotics and factory automation projects, taking solutions from concept through to commissioning for customers across the UK, Europe and North America.
Working alongside experienced mechanical and controls engineers, you'll play a key role in delivering complete turnkey automation systems across a variety of manufacturing environments.
The Role
- Design, program and integrate industrial robotic systems.
- Deliver robotics as standalone solutions and as part of larger automation projects.
- Work closely with mechanical and controls engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Commission, install and support equipment both in-house and on customer sites.
- Carry out fault finding, servicing and optimisation of existing systems.
- Provide technical leadership on robotics projects and mentor colleagues where required.
- Travel regularly throughout the UK and internationally, primarily Europe and North America.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience integrating and programming industrial robots.
- Experience with one or more robot manufacturers such as Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki or Nachi.
- Background within factory automation, special purpose machinery or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems and industrial networking (e.g. EtherNet/IP or Profinet).
- Experience commissioning automated machinery.
- PLC, HMI or SCADA programming experience would be advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and project ownership skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Willingness to travel internationally as projects require.
- Full UK driving licence.
