The Opportunity
Mploy Group is working with an established and highly innovative software business developing advanced data-driven platforms used within complex, high-impact environments. This is an opportunity for a Senior Python Engineer to play a key role in the continued growth of a modern engineering platform, contributing across backend development, architecture, scalability and technical improvement initiatives within a collaborative technology team. The environment is highly engineering-focused, with real emphasis placed on clean design, platform reliability and long-term technical quality.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and developing backend functionality using Python
- Contributing to scalable microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Building and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Driving best practice across testing, CI/CD and code quality
- Collaborating closely with Product, QA and Engineering teams
- Supporting and mentoring other developers where required
- Contributing to technical planning and solution design
- Assisting with automation, deployment and platform scalability

What We’re Looking For
- Strong commercial Python engineering experience

- Previous mentoring or technical leadership exposure would be beneficial
