This is a rare opportunity to shape product strategy from the ground up, acting as the voice of the customer and ensuring future product development is driven by genuine market demand and commercial opportunity. Working closely with engineering, R&D, operations and commercial teams, you'll play a key role in defining the roadmap and influencing the future direction of an exciting technology platform.

This isn't a corporate environment with layers of process and bureaucracy. It's a growing, investor-backed technology business where things move quickly, priorities evolve and everyone plays a part in shaping the future.

They're looking for someone who embraces that challenge—someone who's proactive, adaptable, commercially minded and enjoys taking ownership. You'll be the type of person who spots opportunities, solves problems and works collaboratively across technical and commercial teams to deliver real business impact.

If you're excited by the opportunity to build a function, influence product direction and play a key role in a high-growth technology business, you'll fit in well here.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Owning and developing the company's product strategy and roadmap.
  • Acting as the voice of the customer across the business.
  • Gathering customer feedback and market insight to shape future product development.
  • Prioritising product features based on customer value, commercial opportunity and technical feasibility.
  • Working closely with engineering, R&D, operations and commercial teams to deliver new product capabilities.
  • Managing the product lifecycle from concept through to commercial launch and ongoing enhancement.
  • Supporting go-to-market activities, product positioning and customer engagement.
  • Monitoring product performance, customer adoption and market feedback.
  • Defining product success measures and using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Helping establish best practice product management processes as the business continues to scale.

You'll be passionate about building products that solve real customer problems and enjoy working at the intersection of technology, engineering and commercial strategy.

You'll ideally have:

  • Proven Product Management experience within a technology, engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience developing product strategies and managing product roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of customer discovery, product lifecycle management and go-to-market planning.
  • Experience working closely with engineering and technical development teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer needs against technical and business priorities.
  • The confidence to influence decisions across technical and commercial teams.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive within a fast-paced, scaling business.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within industrial technology, advanced manufacturing, instrumentation, sensors, hardware or other technically advanced environments.
  • Experience launching or scaling complex B2B technology products.
  • Exposure to regulated industries such as utilities, energy, environmental technology or industrial markets.

This is an opportunity to join a business at a pivotal point in its growth journey. You'll have genuine ownership, the opportunity to build a product function from the ground up and the chance to influence the future of an innovative technology that's solving real-world challenges.

If you're looking for a role where you can shape strategy, work alongside exceptional technical teams and make a lasting impact within a high-growth technology business, we'd love to hear from you. Please forward an up to date CV to find out more.

Understand the Product Life Cycle

As a product management candidate, we need to get our head around the complete product life cycle. Be prepared to discuss real-world examples of how you’ve managed product development from ideation to launch. Bring specific insights on tools like JIRA or Trello that can help streamline these processes.

Showcase Your Cross-Functional Skills

Product management is all about collaboration. We should be ready to highlight how we’ve worked across teams—think marketing, engineering, and design. Prepare to discuss scenarios where you had to mediate differing opinions and how you got everyone on board with a shared vision.

Prepare for Case Studies

Practise solving hypothetical product problems on the spot, such as prioritising features for a new app or improving user engagement metrics. This will show our analytical thinking and decision-making skills.

Know Your Metrics
