As our HR / Compliance Administrator, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across recruitment, employee engagement, and compliance, playing a real part in shaping how we support our people. This role is suitable for someone who is currently undertaking a Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship or is keen to start the apprenticeship following a successful offer.

Role overview

  • HR Administration & Employee Experience
    • Assist with core HR administration tasks, including drafting offer letters, employment contracts, and internal communications.
    • Support the administration of employee benefits, including onboarding new benefits, processing changes, and helping review benefit offerings.
    • Be the go‑to person for employee queries, helping colleagues feel supported, informed, and valued.
    • Build trusted working relationships with stakeholders and employees, handling all information with sensitivity and confidentiality.
    • Use the HR digital platform to maintain accurate employee records and support employees with system‑related queries.
    • Support internal recruitment across Claims, Legal, and Technology teams by managing vacancies, screening and shortlisting candidates, and coordinating interviews.
  • Compliance & Policies
    • Assist the in‑house compliance function with mailbox management, including responding to external customers and suppliers, collating compliance data, and maintaining accurate trackers.
    • Help maintain and update internal HR policies, ensuring timely reviews, approvals, and clear communication in line with regulatory changes.
  • Business & Office Support
    • Provide day‑to‑day business and office support, including managing office supplies, meeting rooms, and assisting with client visits.
    • Where appropriate, assist in preparing materials and insights for senior management meetings.

Experience

  • An interest in starting a career in Human Resources or business administration, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualified or higher, currently studying, or keen to study, a Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to support a variety of tasks and ask questions when unsure.
  • Good communication skills and confidence in speaking with colleagues, whether in person, by email, or over the phone.
  • Well organised, with the ability to manage time effectively and keep information accurate and up to date.
  • Trustworthy and discreet, with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality in an HR / Compliance environment.
  • Basic IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Candidates should have GCSE English and Maths at grades 9–3 (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards Functional Skills in English and Maths as part of the apprenticeship programme.
