The Role

As an Assistant Drainage Engineer, you will work predominantly on-site alongside one of our skilled Senior Engineers, supporting a variety of drainage investigations, repairs, and maintenance projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working outdoors, and delivering excellent customer service. You will play an important role in ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, while providing customers with a professional and positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with drainage repairs.
  • Support and carry out drainage dig-ups and excavations.
  • Operate CCTV drainage surveying equipment and produce reports in line with WRC Defect Grading Guidelines.
  • Use CAT & GENNY equipment to identify buried services and trace drainage systems.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining completed work and maintaining high service standards.
  • Work closely with Senior Engineers to resolve drainage problems efficiently and safely.

  • Previous experience in drainage repairs, dig-ups, and CCTV surveying.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a practical approach to work.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
