MPJ Recruitment are supporting a respected and expanding commercial insurance brokerage in their search for an experienced Commercial Account Handler. This role is ideal for someone who is Acturis trained and confident managing a varied commercial portfolio while delivering exceptional client service. You’ll work closely with Account Executives/Directors, handling new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments, while ensuring clients receive a smooth, professional and proactive service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and broker commercial insurance enquiries including new business, MTAs and renewals.
- Prepare high-quality market submissions and supporting documentation.
- Work alongside Account Executives/Directors to help achieve new business and renewal targets.
- Secure competitive renewal terms and complete all associated documentation and system updates.
- Support Account Executives/Directors with prospect pipeline management and research.
- Prepare Renewal Review reports, including claims experience summaries.
- Manage incoming client, insurer and third-party enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain an organised diary system including debt management, accounts queries, chasing documentation and renewal terms.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' commercial insurance broking experience.
- Acturis experience is essential.
- Confident handling quotations, renewals and MTAs across a range of commercial policies.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance markets, products, wordings and placement options.
- Excellent communication, organisation and client-handling skills.
