We're currently working with a well-established insurance business in Bolton that is expanding its claims operation following continued growth and a number of internal promotions. They're now looking for a Third Party Property Damage Handler to join the team and take ownership of a varied caseload involving Third Party Property Damage and Motor-related claims. This is a great opportunity for an experienced claims professional who wants to develop their technical knowledge, take on more responsibility and build a long-term career within the insurance industry. The Role As a Third Party Property Damage Handler, you'll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of claims, ensuring each case is investigated thoroughly, progressed efficiently and handled to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include: Managing a varied caseload of Third Party Property Damage claims. Investigating claims and establishing liability. Assessing claim circumstances and determining appropriate outcomes. Managing your own workload and prioritising cases effectively. Handling complex, disputed and higher-value claims. Liaising with solicitors, insurers, accident management companies and other third parties. Reviewing relevant evidence and documentation to support claim decisions. Identifying potential fraudulent activity and escalating concerns where appropriate. Working closely with internal teams to ensure claims progress smoothly. Maintaining accurate claims records and documentation. Providing a professional and customer-focused service throughout the claims journey. About You You'll ideally have previous experience within Motor Claims, Third Party Claims, Property Damage or Credit Hire and be comfortable working within a busy claims environment. We're particularly interested in candidates who have: Previous experience handling Third Party claims, ideally involving Property Damage. Experience within Motor Claims or Credit Hire would also be advantageous. Strong understanding of the claims process and liability assessment. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to manage a busy caseload and work to deadlines. Good organisational and IT skills. A proactive approach with the confidence to make decisions. A CII qualification, or willingness to work towards one. GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or equivalent. Candidates with 2+ years of relevant claims experience may be considered towards the top end of the salary range, depending on experience. What's On Offer?
