Recovery Handler Rochdale | Office Based | £28,000-£30,000 DOE About the Company Our client is a well-established and growing road traffic accident management company based in Rochdale. Established in 2010, the business has continued to grow year on year and has built an excellent reputation within the credit hire and repair sector. The company provides a comprehensive accident management service to customers involved in non-fault road traffic accidents, from arranging replacement vehicles and vehicle repairs through to recovering the associated costs from at-fault insurers and solicitors. Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Recovery Handler to join a small, friendly and supportive team. The Role As a Recovery Handler, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of up to 300 claims, negotiating with insurers and solicitors to maximise recovery of your clients' losses and achieve the best possible commercial outcome for the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience within credit hire, motor claims, recoveries or insurance who enjoys negotiation and working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage a personal caseload of up to 300 claims from inception through to settlement. Negotiate the recovery of credit hire, credit repair, storage, recovery and other uninsured losses directly with at-fault insurers and solicitors. Investigate and resolve liability and quantum disputes. Negotiate settlements to maximise recoveries for the company. Instruct and liaise with clients' solicitors, referrers and insurers. Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls and correspondence. Process payments and incoming post. Maintain accurate and up-to-date claims records. Ensure claims are progressed efficiently and in line with company procedures and targets. About You We are looking for a hardworking, commercially minded individual with an investigative approach and a natural ability to negotiate. Ideally, you will have experience within credit hire or motor claims , although this is not essential. Full training and support will be provided to the right candidate. You will have: Previous experience in credit hire, motor claims, insurance or recoveries (preferred but not essential) . Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to negotiate with insurers and solicitors. Excellent telephone and communication skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload. The ability to multitask, prioritise workload and work to deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. An investigative and analytical mindset. Knowledge of the ABI GTA and motor accident claims would be advantageous. Good proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience using Pro Claim would be advantageous, but is not essential.
