The Role
You will manage your own caseload of personal injury matters from initial instruction through to settlement or litigation, working closely with colleagues, medical experts, and counsel to secure the best possible results for clients. Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of personal injury claims from inception through to settlement or trial
- Investigating claims and gathering supporting medical and evidential documentation
- Liaising with medical experts, counsel, insurers, and other third parties
- Negotiating settlements and representing clients at hearings where required
- Providing clear, practical, and empathetic legal advice to clients
- Keeping up to date with developments in Scottish personal injury law and procedure
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent client outcomes
About You
You will ideally have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in Scotland
- Proven experience managing litigated personal injury claims independently
- Strong knowledge of Scottish personal injury law and relevant case law
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client care skills
- The ability to manage a busy caseload effectively and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- A proactive and team-focused approach
