A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a well-established firm of independent solicitors based in Ellesmere Port, with convenient on-site parking. My client is a panel member of the Police Federation (the police officers' union) and represents police officers who have been involved in work‑related accidents against the police force.
This role is ideal for a qualified Solicitor with at least 3‑4 years of experience in litigation, preferably in Employer’s Liability (EL) or Occupier’s Liability (OL) personal injury cases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of fast‑track and multi‑track litigated and pre‑litigated personal injury claims
- Handling cases from pre‑litigation to trial
- Working collaboratively as part of a team, while also working independently under supervision to comply with firm processes
- Utilizing case management software
- Drafting court documents and witness statements
- Preparing trial bundles
- Ensuring cases are run efficiently and court directions are met
- Regularly updating clients
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in litigation, essential
- Ability to meet strict court deadlines
- Strong focus on client care and guiding members of the public through the court process
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify technical points in defences and evidence
- Experience following instructions from senior staff and meeting internal deadlines
- Proficiency in case management software
- Self‑motivation and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team

The benefits package includes a minimum of 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off (after 12 months of service), with an additional day of holiday per year of service subject to a minimum term.
