We're seeking an experienced Drainage Investigation Engineer to carry out on-site drainage investigations across the UK, diagnose issues and recommend effective repair solutions. This role suits someone with strong problem-solving ability, confidence working independently and excellent customer-facing skills.

The Role

You'll be responsible for investigating drainage systems, clearing below-ground blockages using high-pressure water jetting and producing detailed CCTV reports. You'll also liaise directly with customers, explaining findings clearly and ensuring they receive a professional, positive service experience.

Key Responsibilities

Complete drainage investigations and produce detailed CCTV reports to WRC defect grading standards.

Use high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear below-ground blockages.

Operate CAT/GENIE and sonar tracing equipment to locate and map drainage systems.

Carry out repairs including patching and lining water mains.

Conduct excavations and reinstatement of domestic surfaces (paving slabs, block paving, etc.).

Deliver outstanding customer care and confidently explain recommended repairs.

Apply strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience & Requirements

Proven experience in drainage investigations and high-pressure water jetting.

Strong understanding of CCTV surveying equipment and reporting standards.

Ability to identify buried services using tracing equipment.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Full UK driving licence.

Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach.
