We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Liability Adjuster to join our growing claims team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled liability professional looking to take the next step into a leadership-focused role while remaining hands‐on with complex claims.
The Role
- You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of complex liability claims while leading and supporting a small team of adjusters.
- The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven people‐management skills to ensure high service standards, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits and witness interviews to gather factual and documentary evidence.
- Assess liability, causation, quantum, and policy indemnity on a case‐by‐case basis.
- Produce high‐quality reports with clear technical and legal reasoning.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of complex liability claims from instruction through to conclusion.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely records using internal systems and platforms.
- Act as a key liaison point for clients, brokers, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
- Attend client meetings, reviews, and strategy discussions as required.
- Support the development of client relationships and contribute to business growth initiatives.
- Mentor junior adjusters and contribute to technical development and training.
- Support management with technical guidance and day‐to‐day team coordination.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a Senior Liability Adjuster.
- Strong technical expertise across liability claims handling.
- Previous team leadership or management experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop team members effectively.
- Organised, commercially aware, and client‐focused approach.
