About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead field engineering operations across the North Region.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys driving performance, supporting engineering teams, and delivering high‑quality service across communal and district heating systems.

You'll oversee a geographically dispersed team, ensuring they have the tools, training, and support needed to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of field engineers, promoting collaboration and high performance.
  • Oversee maintenance operations across communal heating systems, including HIUs, metering, AMR technologies, and prepayment infrastructure.
  • Ensure team readiness through effective resource planning, training, and equipment management.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality audits to uphold standards and drive efficiency.
  • Lead operational planning and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with policies, contracts, and health & safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with regional teams, contractors, and schedulers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Report monthly KPIs and performance trends.
  • Support commercial growth and manage budgets effectively.
  • Champion safety through risk assessments, method statements, and stock control oversight.

About You

  • Experienced leader of remote or field‑based engineering teams.
  • Strong technical understanding of communal heating systems.
  • Familiar with AMR technologies (Mbus, Radio, DLC) and prepayment systems.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable working across multi‑site, multi‑client environments.
  • IOSH Health & Safety qualification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Digitally confident with mobile work technology.
