This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, detail‑driven Bookkeeper who enjoys autonomy, variety, and building strong client relationships.
You’ll manage your own portfolio of medium‑sized business clients across the Northwest, ensuring their bookkeeping and management accounting needs are delivered to a high standard.
Although the role is fast‑paced, you’ll receive a full handover and client‑specific training to help you settle in quickly.

- Salary £27,000 - £30,000, depending on experience
- Hybrid working: 4 days office/client site, 1 day WFH after probation

Key Responsibilities
- Managing purchase and sales ledgers
- Raising and entering invoices in Sage or Xero
- Processing sales and purchase orders
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Ensuring compliance with strict HMRC deadlines
- Working with multiple currencies, bank accounts, departments, and CIS (beneficial)
- Producing accounts to trial balance (beneficial)
- General day‑to‑day accounts and office duties, including maintaining accurate records and timely data entry
Skills & Experience Required
- AAT qualified
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping role
- Strong communication skills
- Confident working both in the office and off‑site at client premises
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
