MPI are currently recruiting for an experienced NDT Level 2 Engineer to be based at our clients site in Warwickshire. Our Client specialises in Aerospace Gas Turbine Engine repair and supply into Aerospace and support Aircraft Operators around the World.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out NDT inspections as a certified Level 2 technician in approved Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) method within the scope of Part-145 approval.
- Perform inspections in accordance with approved NDT procedures, OEM manuals (CMM, SRM, AMM), and Part-145 MOE requirements.
- Set up, verify, and calibrate NDT equipment using approved reference standards and calibration blocks.
- Interpret and evaluate inspection results against OEM acceptance criteria.
- Accurately complete inspection records, NDT reports, and electronic MRO documentation systems.
- Raise findings, discrepancies, and non-conformances in accordance with Part-145 and internal quality procedures.
- Maintain full traceability of inspections, equipment, consumables, and records.
- Work in compliance with human factors, FOD control, and aviation safety standards.
- Support audits (CAA/EASA, customer, internal) as required.
- Maintain personal certification, vision requirements, and continuation training.
Requirements
- Valid Aerospace Level 2 NDT certification (EN 4179 / NAS 410, PCN Aerospace, ASNT or equivalent accepted by the Part-145 organisation).
- Minimum of 400 hours relevant NDT experience within the last 12 months, per applicable method, in an aerospace environment.
- Current near vision and colour vision meeting aerospace NDT requirements.
- Demonstrable experience working within a Part-145 MRO or equivalent regulated aerospace environment.
- Strong knowledge of OEM manuals, aerospace standards, and controlled procedures.
- Ability to work independently within the limits of Level 2 authorisation.
Desirable
- Experience inspecting aircraft structures, engine components, landing gear, or composite assemblies.
- Familiarity with MOE, Part-145 exposition, and electronic MRO systems.
- Previous involvement in regulatory or customer audits.
- Some away from base travel may be required.
About the company
The Company expects to grow significantly over the next 5 years. We are looking for people who we can develop into our next generation of skilled fitters, Mechanics, inspectors or engineers. You will be working as part of our team supporting operations and your work will consist of but not limited to:
- Repair of parts for stud removal
- Welding of aircraft components to relevant standard
- Repair and modification of tooling and stands.
- Must be willing to work away from site when required.
The Package
- 23 days beginning April 01-2026 + bank holidays annual leave
- Option of BUPA health package
- Working pattern Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:00
- 40 hour working week
- Salary to be discussed at interview and subject to relevant experience
