Rolling Stock ETCS OBU (Freight) role available! MPI is looking for a Quality Engineer to start ASAP on a Long Term contract. The role will be primarily based in Derby but will require travel to other sites. Rate Negotiable – to be discussed on application. Inside Scope of IR35.
Responsibilities:
- Asset inspections to support handover and hand-back.
- In-process quality inspections.
- Final locomotive snagging and First Article Inspections.
- Production of reports covering asset inspections, FAI’s and improvement opportunities identified.
Qualifications:
- Minimum level 3 apprenticeship in a recognised trade e.g. Mechanical, electrical.
- Experience in a Quality/Inspection role.
- Proven experience in Rail Vehicles retrofit/modification projects.
- Experience in project mobilisation and implementing new or existing procedures and processes.
- HNC qualification in a relevant trade (desirable).
- Experience and/or qualifications in auditing (desirable).
Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK and be currently residing in the UK.
