The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We have a position available for a Programme Planner. This will be split between our Holgate and Leeds together with site visits as deemed necessary; minimum duration 6 months which can be extended as required. Role will be inside IR35, 35 hours per week and reasonable expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the company's expenses policy.
Job Purpose
Develop, maintain and report on contract, project and programme plans associated with the delivery of a programme of signalling projects with the specific focus on ensuring the adequate integration of related programmes required to optimise the delivery of the portfolio.
Key Duties
- Prepare and maintain project plans which are capable of delivering objectives throughout project durations in accordance with company standards and guidance.
- Develop and maintain an integrated programme with inputs from suppliers and the wider team.
- Monitor progress against plans and make changes as required.
- Report actual performance and variance against plan and forecast outcomes. Highlight key milestone and critical path issues to project managers, provide an assessment of the impact of such issues.
- Identify, monitor and review planning risks and keep project managers apprised of any changes.
- Make recommendations for improvements to the planning system and processes.
- Implement and adhere to required governance and assurance for the role, including compliance with NR standards.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of project planning in the live railway environment.
- Experience in the delivery of signalling projects with some experience of supplier/contractor delivery experience.
- Expert knowledge and experience in the application of best practice planning and project controls principles to optimise the delivery of contract, project, and programme requirements.
- Expert ability in the use of Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Experience in the management of supplier or subcontractor programmes to meet the requirements of contract, project and programme.
