The Role:
This position’s primary focus is to ensure that the test engineering function delivers service levels capable of achieving timely delivery and complete customer satisfaction. Our client is searching for a Senior Test Engineer who will join the existing team providing the test engineering function for a variety of major OEMs.
Skills & Experience
- Experience of using ERP systems and databases
- Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects
- Degree qualified in applicable subject
- Experience in manufacturing test roles
- Thorough understanding of digital and analogue electronics, fault finding to component level, and associated test methodologies
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Test, repair, and debug of manufactured products to customer and/or internal specifications
- Design, development, or implementation of new test procedures using Flying Probe, JTAG, and manual/automated functional test methods
- Support the implementation of practices that ensure the company delivers to customer right first time & every time
- Ensure programming and test development work is completed in line with production output requirements
- Complete test aspects of build reports in real time with product introductions
- Develop, define, and implement effective maintenance plans
- Provide estimated labour times for testing new products
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated according to requirements and production output
- Apply and adhere to quality principles & standards throughout testing
- Document and analyze quality and performance of test operations
- Act as the primary interface for customers regarding all test engineering activities
- Maintain continuous improvement programs in all aspects of test engineering
