MPI are looking for a Project Manager with National Grid experience essential. Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-voltage substation and energy infrastructure projects from initiation through to successful handover.
Location: England / Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Full-time: 45 hours per week
National Grid project delivery experience is essential for success in this role.
About The Client: Founded in 2009, our client specialises in the design, installation, and commissioning of high-voltage substation systems up to 400kV. They work with National Grid, DNOs, iDNOs, and renewable energy providers across the UK, delivering projects including 33/11kV and 132/33kV turnkey substations, BESS installations up to 67MW, and large-scale solar PV developments.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading HV substation and energy infrastructure projects from planning through to completion
- Acting as the primary point of contact for National Grid project teams and stakeholders
- Managing project budgets, programmes, risks, and subcontractor performance
- Ensuring compliance with National Grid technical standards, CDM regulations, and H&S requirements
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience delivering projects within a National Grid environment
- Strong track record managing large-scale transmission, distribution, or utility infrastructure projects
- Excellent commercial awareness and health & safety knowledge
- PMP and/or PRINCE2 qualifications desirable
