Plant Operator
Date start – Late March
Duration – 6 months with option to extend
Shift patterns – 7:00am-15:00pm, 15:00pm-23:00pm, 23:00pm-7:00am (30mins to 1 hour overlap between each shift)
Hours each week and regularity – Hours per week are likely variable depending on activities on site. Expected a minimum of 3-4 shifts a week
Duties:
To operate the pilot plant by using a control system (SCADA).
This will involve monitoring the plant during operation, start up, shut down, as well as following the operating procedures.
Coordinate and direct control room operations
Monitor and control process parameters
Assist Shift Team Leader with plant operation, monitoring, and first-line fault diagnosis.
Assist with maintenance tasks on site
Qualifications:
Previous plant experience
Mechanical background preferred, but other engineering backgrounds too (chemical, process, electrical, automotive, aeronautic).
Blue CSCS/Skill card (minimum)
Gold CSCS/Skill card would be preferred.
First aid qualified is preferred.
Rate is negotiable, depending on experience. Role is Outside of IR35.
