Contract – Permanent
Salary - Up to £47,000 depending on experience

Overview
The Technical Centre is currently expanding, providing growth opportunities for those who join, with a particular focus on Electric Actuators design. The client, a market leader in pneumatic and automation technology, where innovation and customer satisfaction is at the forefront of what they do, are offering a unique opportunity to become part of a global Technical Development team.
The Role
Seeking an engineer that is able to design and develop new and bespoke Electric Actuators. In this role, you will also be responsible for:
- Supporting mechanical designs and prototypes
- Supporting technical inquiries and investigating product claims
- Producing detailed technical documentation
- Conducting product and prototype testing using various tools, such as PLCs
- Developing and delivering training to internal and external associates
- Researching market and technology trends
Must have:
- A degree or HND qualification – Mechanical, electromechanical or mechatronics engineering
- Minimum 1 year relevant work experience with SolidWorks (or similar) designing mechanical components or assemblies for industrial machinery
- Strong mechanical and general electrical engineering knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to write detailed technical reports and product documentation
- The ability to occasionally travel abroad to support customers with our product, research exhibitions for market trends, and join in-person meetings
Desirable, but not essential skills:
- Over 3 years of experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical motion control for industrial applications
- Strong understanding of design and manufacturing standards
- Technical product support experience
- Experience with planning and managing projects
- European or Japanese language skills
