The client is searching for a Conformal Coating Operative to join the existing team responsible for the coating, inspection and touch-up to the surfaces of printed circuit boards ensuring adherence to required technical and quality standards for a variety of major OEM’s.
The Role: This position will be responsible for the coating, inspection and touch-up to the surfaces of printed circuit boards, utilising specific surface preparation and coating techniques and fully comply with the required build standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conformal coating of PCBs ensuring all processes are stringently adhered to and any gaps or suggestions for process improvements are made to your immediate supervisor
- Preparation of solvent based materials in line with manufacturer’s instructions
- Ability to accurately identify coating material to ensure correct material used at all times
- Masking and de-masking and cleaning, as needed
- Adherence to work instructions
- Accurate setting of temperature controls on ovens
- Maintenance of accurate production records
- Routine cleaning and maintenance of tools
- Compliance with the company H&S and Quality standards and procedures
- Able to programme conformal coating machines
- Able to mentor others
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience of conformal coating in an electronic manufacturer essential
- Certification to IPC-A-610 desirable
- Able to follow Customer Drawings
- ESD Awareness
- Attention to detail
- Team Player
- Excellent communication skills
