MPI are looking for a Designated Project Engineer (Comms) for our client based in London

Full time hybrid- 60% onsite in London

12 Month Initial Contract

This Role is inside IR35. Pay Rate to Candidate: Β£500 Umbrella / Β£368.38 PAYE

The DPE will be required to:

β€’ Implement Network Rail High Speed systems and procedures to deliver a cost-effective, high-quality, and safe approach to design, construction, commissioning, and other technical activities.

β€’ Review all relevant legislation.

β€’ Lead on all of the approvals and consents required for the design and implementation of the projects.

β€’ Monitor the competence of all Project Engineers working on projects within the team and provide functional guidance, direction, and briefing.

β€’ Apply engineering controls and procedures to all projects and check all design and construction works are carried out and are appropriate to the Railway Group and Network Rail High Speed Company standards applicable to their discipline.

β€’ Advise project and programme management in respect of all construction activities, testing and commissioning, and site supervision.

β€’ Monitor whether the design and construction elements meet the requirements of legislation, including construction design management (CDM) regulations.

β€’ Assure whether contractors' design, construction and specialist personnel are competent.

β€’ Undertake reviews of design and construction activities.

β€’ Arrange audits of contractors to monitor whether safety and quality of design, construction, testing and commissioning, and management systems are adequate.

β€’ Undertake the duties of Designated Project Engineer (DPE).
