MPI are looking for a temporary Senior Technician to manage a fleet of vehicles, plant and machinery. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that all works are carried out to the standards defined in current legislation, codes of practice and manufacturers specifications.
- Maintaining accurate records of all work undertaken on the vehicle fleet and machinery.
- Deputising for the Workshop Manager as appropriate, planning and co-ordinating the day-to-day activities of the Team and directing staff as appropriate.
- Ordering stocks required and liaising with contractors/vehicle manufacturers as necessary.
- Assisting in the planning of the vehicle maintenance schedules, liaising with operations staff where necessary.
- Attending vehicle breakdowns when necessary, arranging for the appropriate work to be carried out and providing advice to drivers/operators on dealing with problems.
