MPI is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer for our client based in St. Albans.
Contract: Temp to Perm
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 / Annum
The Company is a manufacturer of low voltage switchgear. The position of Electrical Project Engineer would be based at the Company premises located in St. Albans, Hertfordshire.
The ideal candidate should be experienced in the electrical design of LV switchgear and package sub-stations. These can typically incorporate such items as protection relays and power factor correction equipment.
Some experience would also be beneficial in the electrical design of control and monitoring systems together with electrical schematic diagrams. Ability to use AutoCAD is desirable. Knowledge of MV switchgear, which is supplied by the Company as part of a contract, would be an advantage.
The main roles with this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Controlling projects from receipt of contract to installation and commissioning.
- Responsibility for all commercial and technical aspects of projects.
- Liaise with clients and their representatives.
- Attend site meetings with clients and their representatives.
- Liaise with suppliers in ascertaining the suitability of electrical components for particular projects.
- Liaise with the Company’s draughting engineers and production team.
- Ability to design electrical control schematic diagrams is an advantage.
