We are are looking for a Contractor to undertake the role as Principal Telecoms Engineer for the telecoms Design and construction activities associated with Cork Area Commuter Rail project, covering GRIP stages or equivalent NEC contract stages of GRIP 4-8. Activities to include CRE duties, lead and review of telecoms networking (MPLS-TP) designs, participation in multi-discipline design reviews and IDCs, manage the construction activities, be accountable for managing telecoms budget and change management, updating of programmes, plan and attend site visits as required, including Ireland / arrange disconnections / liaison with the clients sub contractors. Produce Sub system requirement specifications, and adhere to Alstom processes. Interaction with Bangalore design resource via Design Interface Manager as appropriate. Firm underpinning knowledge and interpretation of Operational Railway Telecoms standards for procurement, design and construction. Experienced in undertaking CRE activities for design and construction. Expert in Network Design (MPLS-TP). Chartered Engineer (Preferred) or IRSE Engineering Manager Licence prefered. IR35 - Outside 8-12 hours per shift depending on project requirements. Main work base: Project Office based in Cork prefferred
