MPI have a requirement for a Materials Controller/Warehouse Coordinator to be based in Chester. Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates. This is a permanent role paying between £34,000 - £37,000.
Job Summary
A Materials Controller/Warehouse Coordinator’s main duties will be assisting with the day-to-day activities of the tooling operation and aircraft spares to support maintenance activities and future maintenance planning forecasts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Managing parts/tool levels via stock management system via supply chain management/ERP software systems
- TOOLING Calibration, confident in tooling control ensuring monthly calibration targets are met with the use of reports and ensuring timely and smooth operation with suppliers on site and external
- Placing tooling purchase-calibration-repair and service orders with approved suppliers and monitor order fulfilment
- Ensure that tooling on return from calibration the certificates are specified and supplied for all applicable tools and gauges
- Organising and managing materials/products in the Warehouse (Stores) Cycle Counting
- Order materials in accordance with maintenance needs and demand
- Shipments of parts and tools including dangerous goods (By Road/Air)
- Despatching of serviceable and unserviceable stock both domestic and international
Person Specification
- Previous experience as a Materials Controller/Store person within Aviation (Desirable)
- Maintaining stock (tooling and parts) availability (Essential)
- Book parts out to work orders as requested by Team Leaders and Service Operatives
- Experience of picking & kitting of parts
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel)
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift – Desirable
