We are looking for a detail oriented, self‑motivated, and collaborative
Fund Data Business Systems Analyst to join our global WTS team.
They will represent our products across public websites and services covering i Shares ETFs, Mutual Funds, Closed End Funds, and Indexes.
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with senior executives in Product, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Legal and Compliance, ensuring the best product representation.
They will partner with product teams to navigate the firm and set up data feeds with internal and external providers, and analyze, manage, document and execute operational and technology changes to support evolving product offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that address product or business requirements.
- Aid in the formation and execution of platform changes to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
- Manage the delivery of solutions from ideation to completion, including testing and ongoing support of applications.
- Manage existing production systems and processes while implementing strategic solutions that create common data products used throughout WTS.
- Serve as subject matter expert on fund data and teach other teams how to navigate the firm and implement scalable changes.
- Liaise with business areas to provide end‑user support and training.
- Partner with WTS team members, Onboarding, Product, Legal, Compliance, and other groups to meet channel needs.
- Work closely with WTS Engineering to develop new ideas and concepts, continually identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Stakeholder Management
- Navigate the firm to identify stakeholders and engage them with minimal guidance.
- Deliver change by collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Keep stakeholders updated with status, progress, barriers, and risks via emails and meetings.
- Create and communicate delivery plans, gaining consensus on dates and ensuring commitments are met.
- Follow up on discussions with minutes, actions, accountable owners, and ETA for resolutions.
- Prioritize workloads while considering prior commitments, resourcing, commercial, regulatory, cost and fiduciary needs.
- Communicate transparently about decisions, including de‑prioritization and late deliverables.
Requirements Analysis & Gathering
- Analyze and research to propose solutions and make evidence‑based recommendations, balancing resourcing, commercial, regulatory, cost and fiduciary needs.
- Create and document solutions for processes, projects, and guidelines where none exist.
- Translate complex business requirements into simple technical requirements for engineering teams.
- Investigate options when encountering barriers to self‑progress on novel problems.
- Product Knowledge
- Knowledge of Aladdin and the investment process.
- Understand the product life cycle from initiation to sale and the data managed and produced throughout.
- Attention to detail and ensure accuracy by self‑validating, proofreading, and cross‑checking against authoritative data sources such as Aladdin.
- Preferred
- Experience in financial services or investment management.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, economics or finance‑related field.
- Formal product management or business analysis qualification.
- Experience with the software development life cycle.
