DevOps & Platform Engineer

Mphasis is looking for a DevOps and Platform Engineer with 6 to 8 years of experience to join a dynamic and innovative technology team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and operating cloud-native platforms while driving automation, scalability, reliability, and security across the software delivery lifecycle.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• CI/CD: Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery practices, with hands-on experience in at least one of the following: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, or ArgoCD.
• Cloud-native operations: Practical experience across private cloud Virtual Server Instances (VSI) and Kubernetes.
• Network boundaries: Strong grasp of network segmentation, ingress/egress controls (e.g., nginx, Kong, Envoy, Kubernetes network policy, or AWS Load Balancer Controller), service-to-service connectivity, and secure zone-to-zone traffic flow (T1, T2, T3).
• AWS: Hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS/EKS, ALB/NLB, ElastiCache, and Postgres (RDS).
• DevOps toolchain: Expertise across the DevOps toolchain, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Scripting: Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Private cloud VSI vs. Kubernetes platforms: Experience provisioning, deploying, and operating workloads on Virtual Server Instances alongside container orchestration platforms.
• Load balancing: Familiarity with L4/L7 load balancers.
• Networking and scaling: Knowledge of DNS, routing, auto-scaling, horizontal and vertical scaling, and performance tuning under load (experience with JMeter preferred).
• Network perimeter design: Understanding of CDN, WAF, and network boundary/perimeter design.
