We are currently supporting a major international engineering organisation involved in complex energy and industrial projects in the UK and are looking to connect with experienced C&I Engineers.

Location: Sizewell B - UK

Sector: Energy / Industrial / Highly Regulated Environment / Nuclear

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Control & Instrumentation engineering studies in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • Analyse technical inputs, manage interfaces and resolve engineering open points
  • Produce technical documentation including control architecture drawings, block diagrams and instrumentation specifications
  • Support installation and on-site engineering activities
  • Participate in technical discussions with internal stakeholders, subcontractors and clients
  • Support bid preparation, planning and engineering execution activities
  • Contribute to mentoring and knowledge sharing within the engineering function

Ideal Background:

  • Experience in C&I / EC&I engineering within energy, nuclear, industrial or process sectors
  • Knowledge of control systems, instrumentation and industrial standards
  • Comfortable working in multidisciplinary and technically demanding environments
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Experience in C&I in industry, ideally in the nuclear industry. Can communicate easily with other disciplines and can help solve multi-disciplinary problems.

Training & Development expectations:

  • Engineer with several years of experience in layout and piping.
  • Software and tools: Microsoft Word/Excel, Autodesk Plant 3D, Autocad, E3D/PDMS
  • Key competencies: Interpersonal and communication skills, proactive, influencing skills, ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative, ability to multi-task, logical thinking, results focused with the ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of standards like BS EN IEC 60709, BS 60073, standards relating to electromagnetic compatibility BS EN IEC 52003 and 61000, and standards relating to instruments, cables, wiring.
