Position Overview
As an RN or LPN, you will provide high-quality clinical care in support of outpatient and specialty clinic operations. These roles are mission essential, requiring reliability and a commitment to patient care during all scheduled clinic hours, including holidays. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care, while supporting clinical operations, patient education, and care coordination.
Schedule & Work Hours
- Monday - Friday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Shifts: 8.5-10.5 hours
- Rotating weekends (1 per month)
- Occasional holiday coverage required
- Max 80 hours per two-week period
What You'll Do
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Perform patient intake, triage, and vital sign collection
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
- Administer medications, immunizations, and IV therapies (scope dependent)
- Conduct wound care, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care
- Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations
Specialty & Preventive Care Support (RN Focus)
- Provide patient education and counseling (e.g., chronic care, maternal health, breastfeeding support)
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Support specialty programs such as maternal-child health and lactation services
- Collaborate across departments to ensure continuity of care
Patient Education & Coordination
- Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and follow-up care
- Reinforce care plans and promote self-management
- Support care coordination, referrals, and population health initiatives
Documentation & Systems
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records
- Utilize systems such as AHLTA, CHCS, MHS GENESIS, or similar platforms
- Track preventive care metrics and follow up on labs/results
Team-Based Care & Clinic Operations
- Participate in daily team huddles and workflow coordination
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and safety standards
- Support compliance with accreditation and quality standards
- Ensure a clean, safe, and patient-focused environment
Work Environment
- Outpatient clinic or hospital-based setting
- Active role requiring standing, walking, and patient interaction
- Exposure to standard healthcare environment risks
Requirements
For LPN Candidates
- Compensation starting at $24
- Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program (or military equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in outpatient or ambulatory care
- Current, unrestricted LPN/LVN license
- Current BLS certification
For RN Candidates
- Compensation starting at $35
- Associate's Degree or higher in Nursing (ACEN/CCNE accredited)
- Minimum 1 year recent RN experience
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Current BLS certification (PALS or specialty certs a plus)
- Specialty experience (e.g., maternal-child, lactation/IBCLC) highly valued
