Mpeople Recruitment are seeking an experienced HGV Driver on behalf of our reputable client based in Salford.
Salary: £37,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Manchester (working within a 20-mile radius)
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate HGV vehicles in accordance with all road traffic laws and company procedures.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Deliver and collect goods efficiently within a 20-mile radius of Manchester.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
- Load and unload vehicles where required, ensuring goods are secured correctly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, vehicle documentation, and tachograph compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and customers.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or delays.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Keep vehicles clean, presentable, and roadworthy at all times.
- Represent the company professionally whilst on customer sites and public roads.
