Area Sales Manager to join their successful sales team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to take ownership of a thriving territory, develop existing customer relationships, and drive new business growth across Milton Keynes and the surrounding region.
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market presence, delivering exceptional customer service, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue and profitability within their designated area.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within your territory.
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers across a range of industries including construction, plant hire, industrial, manufacturing, and related sectors.
- Work closely with the Sales Support and Operations teams to deliver outstanding service and customer solutions.
- Conduct regular customer visits, maintaining a visible presence within your territory.
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiateagreements and close sales opportunities effectively.
- Monitor market activity, competitor movements, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and pipeline development through the company's CRM system.
- Ensure a seamless customer journey from initial enquiry through to delivery and ongoing account management.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have
- Previous experience in an Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, Account Manager, or Territory Sales role.
- Experience within the Hire, Construction, Plant, Tool Hire, Industrial, Building Products, or related industries would be highly advantageous.
- A proven track record of developing new business and growing existing accounts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify customer needs and provide effective solutions.
- Self-motivation with the ability to work independently while managing your own territory.
