Based at the Bolton Head Office, you will lead and manage the Central Parts Sales Team, focusing on exceptional customer service and achieving ambitious sales targets. This is a hands-on leadership role, with responsibilities ranging from mentoring your team to building relationships with clients and driving business growth.
Sales Team Leader Key Responsibilities:
Leadership

Lead the Sales Team by setting clear targets and fostering a customer service-focused culture.

Ensure the team has access to technical and professional sales support.

Motivate and manage the team to perform at the highest standard, with regular coaching and guidance.

Provide clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations for all team members, ensuring accountability and time management.

Monitor individual and team performance, holding regular meetings to review progress and implement sustained improvements.

Oversee the training and development of team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed.
Sales & Customer Relations

Build and nurture relationships with new and existing clients through desk-based and in-person sales techniques.

Research and target potential new accounts to grow the company’s customer base.

Actively promote the company’s products and services through client visits (with a company car provided) and outbound calls to generate new business and secure repeat orders.

Maintain regular contact with key accounts to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.

Process and monitor orders via phone, web, and email, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Collaborate with the Marketing Team on campaigns, sales literature, and promotions to drive sales opportunities.
Operations & Strategy

Provide accurate sales forecasts and contribute to strategic planning with senior management.

Monitor ERP sales performance and liaise with the operations team to ensure on-time delivery.

Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales and margin targets.

Proven experience as a Sales Team Leader, preferably within a Parts, Engineering, or Manufacturing environment other transferable industries will be considered.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage a team to exceed targets.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and motivate staff.

A full, clean UK driving license (essential) for client visits (with a company car provided).

Analytical skills to monitor performance and identify opportunities for growth.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP system experience is an advantage.
