Mpeople Recruitment are partnering with a well-established global manufacturer to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Financial Controller for their UK production site near Shipley. This pivotal role will take ownership of financial management and reporting within a fast-paced production environment, ensuring robust cost control, accurate performance insight, and strong business partnering with operational teams. You\\u2019ll also provide oversight for a European production site, working collaboratively with group finance and supply chain colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with plant and operations managers to drive financial performance.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting processes.
- Investigate production variances, analyse trends, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain integrity of costing data, inventory controls, and master data.
- Provide clear, actionable financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Contribute to capital investment planning and ensure audit and compliance requirements are met.
- Work cross-functionally with group finance and supply chain teams to meet reporting standards.
About You
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, AAT, or equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience in a manufacturing or production finance environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance.
- Confident user of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and highly proficient in Excel.
- Excellent communicator, able to challenge constructively and influence at all levels.
