Mpeople Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established and award-winning business within the electrical sector, who are looking to recruit a Trainee Technical Advisor to join their growing team based in Chadderton, Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an electrical qualification or hands-on experience who is looking to transition into a more office-based, technical support role — offering long-term career progression, specialist training, and 1:1 mentorship from an industry expert. The Role: Working closely with the Technical Director, you will gain hands-on exposure to all aspects of surge protection, developing into a key technical point of contact for customers and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Technical Director and wider team with day-to-day technical operations
- Learning industry standards and best practices, including BS 7671 and BS EN 62305
- Providing technical advice and guidance to customers, contractors, and wholesalers
- Assisting with technical queries and offering clear, practical installation support
- Translating technical concepts into easy-to-understand information
What’s in it for you?
- Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 dependent on experience
- Working Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
- Location: Chadderton, Oldham
- 1:1 mentoring and training from a highly experienced Technical Director

About You
- You will have an electrical qualification, apprenticeship, or practical experience within the electrical industry

- Confident working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
