M People Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity available for an Auto Electrician to join a well-established and growing company based in Oldham.
- Position: Auto Electrician
- Location: Oldham
- Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm
Responsibilities will include
- Carrying out electrical wiring on new-build commercial vehicles.
- Installing electrical systems on tipper bodies, skip loaders and hook loaders.
- Installing vehicle safety equipment, including reversing cameras and vehicle CCTV systems.
- Fitting work lights, beacons, LED lighting and other electrical accessories.
- Diagnosing and fault-finding electrical issues on commercial vehicles, tipper bodies and lifting equipment.
- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Testing and inspecting electrical installations to ensure they are safe and fully operational.
- Repairing and maintaining existing vehicle electrical systems.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Supporting the wider workshop team as required.

- Has previous experience as an Auto Electrician or in a similar role.
- Has strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Is proactive, self-motivated and able to use their own initiative.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Is flexible and willing to support the team during busy periods.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work with excellent attention to detail.
- Is reliable, organised and committed to maintaining high standards.
