Mpeople are excited to be recruiting for Fitter / Assembler for our client who are a manufacturing company based in Oldham. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business with a lot of long standing staff.
Salary: £32,000
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday – 8am – 4:30pm, Friday – 8am – 3:15pm
Free onsite parking.
Our client is seeking an experienced Fitter / Assembler who is hard working and committed and has the ability to read engineering drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Studying and interpreting technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics and diagrams required to complete tasks.
- Reading and confirming the parts list, interpret measurements and verify specifications.
- Determining availability of materials and tools.
- Assembling components and ensuring that all parts are fitted correctly.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing repairs.
- Performing preventive maintenance and reporting and resolving assembly line issues.
- Keeping the workspace clean.
- Adhering to health and safety requirements of the company and the industry.
- Conserving resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste.
Experience:
- You must be able to read engineering drawings.
- Mechanical fitter.
- Assembly experience.
- Understanding of Health & Safety.
