- Location: Middleton
- Salary: Up to £28,000 (£17.95 per hour / £35,000 pro rata)
- Hours of work: Flexible hours within a Monday-to-Friday, 9-to-5 framework, allowing you to choose how those 30 hours fit best.
We are excited to be recruiting for a brand-new, part-time role (30 hours per week) on behalf of our client who are a growing import business! They are creating a dedicated compliance specialist position to ensure their products meet GPSR, WEEE, and packaging compliance standards. This part-time role is perfect for an experienced professional looking to shape a vital function in a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and other relevant UK and EU regulations.
- Manage and maintain technical files and documentation for all products.
- Coordinate and oversee quality control checks to ensure products meet safety and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) regulations and proper disposal of electronic waste.
- Oversee packaging compliance, ensuring that packaging materials meet environmental regulations and are properly labelled.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that products meet all necessary standards before shipment.
- Stay updated on changes to regulations and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit necessary reports and certifications to authorities.
Desired Attributes, Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in product compliance, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of UK and EU regulations (GPSR, WEEE, packaging, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
