Responsibilities:
To support the Accountant in day-to-day accounting management and control, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with monthly management accounts preparation and reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Reconcile invoices, expenses, and financial data to ensure accuracy
- Credit control
- Sales Ledger
- Purchase ledger
- Maintain and update financial records in line with company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and verify financial information
- Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management and external parties
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Cash and banking
- Assist with Vat return
- Admin tasks as required
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role
- Ideally AAT or equivalent qualification
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills, able to work effectively within a team
- Proficient in key software such as Excel and accounting systems
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
