The Senior SEO Manager leads the day‑to‑day delivery of MPB’s organic search programme across UK, US and European markets, operating as a trusted deputy to the Head of Organic Growth. This role owns execution and operational momentum, ensuring the team maintains pace and quality while contributing meaningfully to strategic thinking on SEO, GEO and organic search more generally.
What You Will Be Doing
- Own delivery of the organic search roadmap across priority markets, tracking performance against agreed KPIs and surfacing risks proactively.
- Act as deputy to the Head of Organic Growth: lead team stand‑ups, sprint rituals, and cross‑functional conversations in their absence, maintaining momentum without requiring hand‑holding.
- Own the technical SEO relationship with the P&E team, writing well‑reasoned tickets and following up to completion.
- Monitor and report on competitor activity, algorithm developments, and emerging trends, bringing a point of view, not just a summary.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in SEO, ideally within e-commerce.
- Strong technical SEO knowledge: diagnose crawl, indexation, and ranking issues and communicate them clearly to developers.
- Genuine intellectual curiosity about how search is evolving: comfortable forming and defending views on AI‑driven search, GEO, and the changing intent landscape.
- Proactive communicator: flags bad news as readily as good, not waiting to be asked.
- Data‑literate: can build and interpret performance reporting in GA4, GSC, and rank‑tracking platforms.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working across multiple European markets or with localisation/hreflang at scale.
- Exposure to agile/sprint‑based workflows.
- Experience running SEO A/B tests or CRO experiments in collaboration with product or conversion teams.
- Experience with Python, SQL, or other tools for SEO automation or data analysis.
