This role will be a partner in achieving organisational goals through effective people management. The HR Officer will act as an employee advocate while balancing company needs, ensuring legal compliance, facilitating change and managing HR processes efficiently. This role will support shaping workplace culture, enhancing performance, mitigating risk and managing payroll.
Reports to: Head of HR
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Managing the payroll processes and administration
- Employee lifecycle - support recruitment, onboarding, employee experience and offboarding
- Policy & process management
- Managing employee records
- Promoting H&S
- Employee relations management
- Training delivery
Outputs/Deliverables:
- Payroll process & admin - managing and processing accurately payroll monthly, with support from the HR admin/generalist
- Employee lifecycle - supporting our internal recruiter and managers on recruitment activities, maintaining effective onboarding for new starters, including consistency, planning and diary management. Effective offboarding and including feedback for improvement through the process. Ensuring the employee experience is a focus of attention through the employment lifecycle.
- Policy & process management - regularly reviewed, well communicated and documented. Communicating with key stakeholders when implementing new processes.
- Managing employee records - maintaining employee records are up to date and we are compliant.
- Promoting H&S - promoting and leading by example of H&S of our employees.
- Assisting with employee-based initiatives - including researching and implementing new benefits/partnerships for benefits
- Mentoring team members
- Creating and delivering training modules on a variety of different topics - you will be given the autonomy on these to create and deliver how you wish
- Managing ER casework - the business does not have many ER cases to manage and there are external legal advisors we have access to however employment law knowledge is essential to support employees and managers.
- Working with our counterpart and colleagues across other sites and actively communicate within the team.
